Where to start?Websites or products that offer affiliate programs: There are loads of these around. You can try Clickbank and Commission Junction for starters. Clickbank offers only digital products, sends out cheques every couple of weeks and is a good place to get your feet wet.
Best hosting websites: not many will dispute Hostgator's greatness.
Best or easiest web design programs: XSitePro is the bomb, and version 2 has just been released. You can get it here: www.xsitepro.com. Alternatively you can use Wordpress. Hostgator has CPanel, which gives you a push-button solution to creating an instant Wordpress site.
How to process orders via credit card: If you are just marketing affiliate products, then you don't need to worry about this. Just link to the merchant's site. They do all the heavy lifting when it comes to taking payment/releasing the product/issuing refunds. For you to pick up your cheque, all you need to do is have the buyer get to the product page via one of your links.
How to get your website the trusted symbol: again, not necessary if you are not processing orders yourself (which you most likely aren't if you're an affiliate).
