I read SO many bad things about book publishers, that I would recommend the following:
- learn how to market your book
- write your book
- contact potential readers and ask for feedback
- rewrite your book
- contact more potential readers and ask for feedback
- rewrite your book
- publish it yourself
- market it yourself
IF it turns out to be a great book that many people like (=1% of all books), you then could contact a real publisher and get a good deal that favors *you*.
