Check out Quantcast, it's similar to alexa, they extrapolate data from a couple of thousand test users. The good thing with QuantCast though is that they give you additional demographical data, such as site with a similar userbase, age of users, income, education, etc. QuantCast also has a free complete listing of sites, but only based on their US rankings, not worldwide.
